If you want to help out our bird rescue in Peoria Arizona, consider volunteering with us! It doesn't matter if you can only help for an hour once a month, or every day the help is always needed and appreciated.

When you volunteer your time is important and it is an experience you will enjoy, so come help out and meet the birds! You can have the opportunity to help feed baby birds, play with the parrots, make bird toys, participate in wild bird releases, and assist with educational programs along with routine feeding and upkeep.

Are you handy with a hammer and saw? We would love help assembling our new aviaries! Give us a call at 623-533-2348 to schedule your day to volunteer.

Fallen Feathers will help all birds when they become lost, orphaned, or injured. This will include assisting the public with capturing birds in situations that require human intervention. Locating and reuniting orphaned birds' with parents is highly encouraged. If the parents cannot be located the bird will be raised and returned to the wild. This process includes feeding, housing, socializing, environment adaptation, and back-up release support. Injured birds will receive medical attention from licensed rehabilitators, and veterinary care when necessary.Migratory birds are not adoptable. Many rescued wild birds are rehabilitated and released back into their natural habitat. Migratory birds that cannot released are used for educational presentations.

Attempts to locate the owner will be made by posting the found birds in the local newspaper. When those efforts have been exhausted and no reunion occurs, the lost birds and voluntarily surrendered birds may be placed for adoption in accordance with our policy.
